Let's talk quilts!

Quilts are treasures! They are meant for sharing. They make great gift ideas for that someone special or a special treat just for YOU!

Nothing says "comfort" like handmade quilts with the feel of soft cotton fabrics. They're great for relaxing on the sofa while reading a good book or cuddling with up to watch a movie. They are meant to be used.

While I have been sewing since I was in first grade, I have only been quilting since 2002. My wonderful mother-in-law Betty taught me. For more about my story, please click on About Me.

This is my hobby!

I don’'t claim to be an expert. It's just something that I totally enjoy! I would quilt 24/7 if I didn't have other obligations.

Even when I've had a stressful day at school teaching journalism to high school students, I can't wait to get to my room and put in a favorite movie or turn on an evening television show--I must admit I'm addicted to shows like Gray's Anatomy and Dancing with the Stars. I'll spend an hour or so sketching out a new design, cutting fabric, sewing on a project, or getting behind my quilting frame to complete a project.

If you're an experienced quilter, I look forward to you sharing some of your knowledge and secrets. If you're a novice, I hope that we can be of some service to you.

Site Design

In the Supplies section, I'll share with you the basic supplies you would need to get started, such as cutting mats, rotary cutters, and rulers. Then work all the way up to sewing machines and machine quilters.

I'm always looking for better ways of doing things: both to save time and energy! Any time I find a good technique, I plan to share it. If you are too, visit the Tips section.

Under the Blocks and Quilt Designs tabs, I'll offer you some of my favorite designs. You can take these, put your own fabric choices in, and create your own wonderful project.
